Soothing Deep Blue

doTerra DEEP BLUE

• Comforts tired and sore joints and muscles
• Provides a comforting sensation of cooling and warmth to problem areas
• Provides temporary comfort to tired and sore muscles and joints
• Supports circulation to muscles and joints

DoTerra's Deep Blue rub is a winner! The rub has an icy warm sensation that penetrates the skin. I know runners using this to comfort leg pain after a run, others appreciate how it provides temporary comfort to low back pain, knee pain, foot cramps and head pain.

Deep Blue also comes in pure essential oil form and in a roller ball bottle. The oil can be layered with the rub. Place 1-2 drops of the oil on the area needing to be soothed, wait a couple of minutes, then add a dime sized amount of the rub on the same area. Repeat up to 3x/day. The roller ball can be used directly on the area needed, on the bottoms of the feet, or the back of the neck. Given its icy warm sensation do not apply to sensitive skin, open wounds, or on children.

Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex:

• Includes proprietary, standardized extracts of ginger, curcumin, resveratrol and other polyphenols to soothe aches and discomfort
• Can be used in tandem with Deep Blue Rub or Deep Blue Soothing Blend
• Patent-pending, fast-acting boswellia extract shown to help support muscle and joint comfort and function

doTERRA - Expensive?

I came across this today on Pinterest and had to share, so true!! Given the quality and potency of these oils who can argue?

"When someone says, “But doTERRA Essential Oils are sooo expensive,” I say, “Hmmmm…earache…Melaleuca two drops…3xs a day…for 2 days = 96 cents. What’s your co-pay?” I win."

A wholesale membership costs $35 to sign up the first year, $25 thereafter and you receive credit towards free product from all shipping costs. When an enrollment kit of $100 or greater is purchased the membership cost is automatically included. This company does a lot to give back to its customers. This month I ordered 125 pv and will receive a free 15ml bottle of Lemongrass. Lot's of perks here while providing natural, healthy support (that smells AWESOME!) to you and your friends and family! To order go to: mydoterra.com/islandlifeessentials/.

Another thoughtful post in response to comments re: cost I came across on a doTerra users website,

"I don’t understand why it is bad for a person to have a business selling these oils and make a profit. The stores do. Otherwise they wouldn’t carry them. doTERRA chooses to sell the oils through educated wellness advocates so their users are given personal help as opposed to getting them at the store and not understanding how to use them. The money they would spend on advertising and store placement is given to their wellness advocates. This is nothing to be ashamed of. As a matter of fact, it has helped many people not only improve their physical health but their financial health. There are no limits to how far you can advance unlike many corporate jobs. Offering people a quality product and a chance to improve their finances is an honor for me. doTERRA also helps improve the communities that produce the oil unlike many companies that just take advantage of the producers by offering them low pay for much work.
Essential oil adulteration is common. doTERRA works hard to make sure the oils they sell are pure and unadulterated. The owners of this company use the oils in their families and will not adulterate oils for profit.
You can see a video here about oil adulteration by Dr.Pappas, an independent 3rd party lab that tests not only doTERRA but other producers oils. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb1fia7kBaA
I also threw my non-doTERRA oils out. I will not take any more chances with my family’s health. I do not consider it wasteful. As a matter of fact, I considered it a wise decision. Education is empowering and I have learned so much after joining doTERRA. I hold my head high to be a part of it and I hope to share it with as many people as possible."

Getting started

doTERRA CPTG Essential Oils

Are you looking for natural solutions to support your health? Great! Me too. You might be asking - what are doTerra essential oils? These are pure essential oils extracted from plants to be used for their beneficial properties. Why doTerra essential oils? Simply put, it comes down to quality for me. I had been using essential oils for many years before coming across doTerra's. Immediately I could tell there was a huge difference in potency and quality just from the scent - I didn't need a scientific report to explain to me how powerful they were. I began using doTerra's oils much like I would other companies brands and discovered that I only needed to use 1-3 drops whereas before I would use 5+ for the same application and the smell, so vibrant! These oils are not cut with any synthetics or diluted with carrier oils as is more often the case when purchasing oils elsewhere (and you may not even realize it because there is no one enforcing quality standards!). DoTerra in fact has spear-headed a movement towards quality standards within the field and are considered Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG). DoTerra goes to great length to ensure the quality of their oils by keeping up with each location where their oils are sourced. They take the location (international), time of harvest, and distillation process very seriously. No pesticides or harmful chemicals are used in the process and they test the oils again before distributing to the public. The oils are essentially grown organically, though because there is not a universal/international standard for organic across the board they cannot put this label on their products.

When starting out I used Lavender, for me this supports relief for an achy head and promotes restful sleep.
